Well this weekend is a low point in my Triathlon journey.
I had to pull out of my first event due to a chest cold. Having asthma and a chesty cough is not a good mix.
It has been really difficult but I know I just wasn’t up to it. Hoping to get over this in time for Haverhill next weekend.
So my advice this time round is to listen to your body, don’t be ashamed or feel pressured into doing an event if you are not feeling up to it. Also REST!!
It will mean you can bounce back faster and not do more damage to yourself.
I didn’t rest to start with and am suffering even more now because of it.
